چکیده

The study was conducted at the aonla based agroforestry experimental field of department Agroforestry and Environment, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University from June, 2019 to July, 2020 develop a multistoried food production model for terrace ecosystem Bangladesh. experiment carried out under twenty years old orchard which considered as upper storied component, while two minor fruits namely carambola lemon were used middle component. Dragon fruit test crop grown in alley tree lines. laid two-factor randomized complete block design with three replications. Three different systems (T1: + dragon fruit, T2: T3: sole) levels factor A. Two genotypes i.e. red fleshed (V1), white (V2) B. Red genotype produced highest plant height, maximum number branches yield compared those irrespective treatment combinations. Total height increment, mean annual increment current found conditions. A negative linear relationship observed between Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) but positive noticed PAR. Land Equivalent Ratio genotype. result revealed that suitable partial shade conditions like successfully without scarifying significant loss open field.

Effect of plant growth regulators, fruit thinning, boron and calcium on growth indexs and seed yield of watermelon nuts

Watermelon nuts is widely cultivated in Khorasan Razavi for its edible seed production. Two experiments were therefore, conducted to increase seed production in Bahonar University of Kerman Research Station in 2013 and 2014. In first year, the effects of gibberellic acid (0 and 50 mg/l) and fruit number (1, 2 and 3 fruits /plant) were studied in 4 populations. In second year, the effects of 24-...

Homozygote Depression in Gamete-Derived Dragon-Fruit (Hylocereus) Lines

Putative gamete-derived progenies from two Hylocereus species, the diploid H. monacanthus and the tetraploid H. megalanthus, were studied with the dual aims to confirm their gamete origin and to evaluate their potential use as genetic resources. An additional goal was to determine the origin (allotetraploid vs. autotetraploid) of H. megalanthus by exploring morphological variations in the di-ha...

Microencapsulation of Dragon Fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus) Peel Extract Using Maltodextrin

Dragon fruit peel can be utilized as a natural dye due to betacyanin content, redviolet pigment of betalain group. Betacyanin is unstable to temperature, oxygen, and light, consequently microencapsulation technology is required to maintain its stability. This study aims to determine microencapsulation efficiency of dragon fruit peel extract with variation of encapsulation ratio and to perceive ...
